The globalization of the entertainment industry has brought with it challenges and opportunities for local companies looking to expand their presence beyond national borders. This panel addresses the strategy of glocalization - the adaptation of content and business to serve both local and global markets - and how companies can employ it to achieve sustainable and significant growth. We will explore success stories, strategies for entering new markets, cultural and regulatory considerations, as well as the challenges faced by local companies in their quest for international expansion.

The Creators Bridge

With over 15 years of experience in the media industry, he merged his passion for storytelling and business. He spearheaded marketing projects at Globosat and FOX, gaining recognition for orchestrating large-scale campaigns such as the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games. During his journey at GLOBO for over a decade, he led projects in the international business, specializing in the licensing of telenovelas, series, and documentaries in key global markets. Driven by a vision to see Brazil wield influence in the international market, he established The Creators Bridge, a São Paulo-based sales agency focused on the commercialization of Brazilian audiovisual assets for the emerging global industry.

Renata Brandão is the CEO of Conspiração, the most iEmmy nominated production company in Latin America. Conspiração is one of the biggest independent production companies in Latin America with 40 feature-films released and more than 300 hours of TV programming produced per year. Those series got ten nominations to the International Emmy's and Invisible Woman won as best comedy. In cinema, the production company participated in the film festivals of Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Toronto, and was responsible for the Brazilian blockbusters such as Two Sons of Francisco and Vai Que Cola. She also produced the TV shows "The End" (Globoplay), “DOM” (Prime Video), and "Under Pressure" (TV Globo).

Head of International Business and Coproductions at Globo, Angela Colla began her journey in the company in 2007 as a Sales Manager. With 15+ years of experience in the industry, she handled important deals and partnerships. With a degree in International Affairs from PUC-SP, Angela took specialization courses at the Copenhagen University, in Denmark, at the Florida International University and at Columbia Business School, both in the US.
