Valesca Popozuda

Singer

Born and raised in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, Valesca Popozuda is a funk icon, being considered one of the precursors of the genre in the early 2000s. It was as the vocalist and founder of the group "Gaiola das Popozudas" (2000 – 2012), singing her lyrics about freedom, that Valesca conquered a large audience, broke prejudices and made room for several women of Funk. Currently, Valesca accumulates plays on digital platforms and continues to impress in the Brazilian music scene.
