Mayara Ferrão
Visual artist
Mayara Ferrão is a visual artist and creative director, with a degree in visual arts from the Federal University of Bahia. Her artistic process encompasses photography, illustration, painting, creative and stage direction, using imaging technologies, artificial intelligence and video to create, construct and disseminate narratives of black, indigenous and dissident bodies. She has participated in several group exhibitions, such as: “LGBTQIA+ Stories” at MASP, “Ancestral: Afro-Americas – United States and Brazil” at the Museum of Brazilian Art at FAAP, “Inhabited Memories” at SESC-RJ, “Roots: beginning, middle and beginning” at the National Museum of Afro-Brazilian Culture, “Cuir Sou” at Verve.
