Maria Carlota Bruno has been with VideoFilmes since 1989 and has served as Executive Director since 2011. She has produced films such as Jia Zhang-ke, A Man from Fenyang, In the Intense Now, Unremember, Mariner of the Mountains, and Song Without a Name. She collaborates with directors including Walter Salles, João Moreira Salles, and Flavia Castro. An international jury member at festivals across Latin America and Europe, she has also served as a consultant for ANCINE. Her current projects include Creatures of the Mind, My Foreign Land, and Cyclone. She is the producer of I'm Still Here, by Walter Salles, winner of the 2025 Academy Award for Best International Feature.
