Sophia Kelmer

PARALYMPIC ATHLETE

Sophia Kelmer, 17, from RJ, is a paralympic table tennis player. Her resume is extensive: #4 in the adult class 8 individual ranking and #3 among athletes U23 by the International Table Tennis Federation; six-time Brazilian adult champion; youngest athlete in the Brazilian delegation at the Paris 2024; youngest Brazilian to medal at a world table tennis championship; gold medalist in the women's singles and doubles at the Youth Parapan in Bogotá (2023); in the same year, she won silver in the singles and bronze in the women's and mixed doubles at the Santiago Parapan. Sophia is one of the characters in the documentary ‘Women on the Podium’, released in March on Sportv and available on Globoplay.
