Kahena Kunze

Athlete

Kahena Kunze is a two-time Olympic champion sailor and world champion in sailing in the 49er FX class – together with her partner and helmswoman Martine Grael. Considered the best sailor in the world in 2014, she and Martine are currently the world's number 1 in the 49er FX class according to the IVF ranking. At Rio 2016, became Olympic sailing champion, when they won the Medals Regatta in the category. In December 2022, she was decorated by the Brazilian government with the Order of Rio Branco, in the rank of Commander. In 2023, together with her usual partner, won the gold medal at the Trofeo Princesa Sofia Mallorca, in Spain, the first stage of the Sailing World Cup.
