Pedro Freire

Director and Screenwriter

Pedro Freire graduated in film directing from EICTV-Cuba. He has directed and written 8 short films, which have been shown at festivals such as Venice, Locarno, Turin, Havana, Oberhausen, among others; as well as several series for TV. His first feature film as a director, "Malu", premiered in competition at the Sundance Festival in 2024 and won 4 awards at the Rio Festival, including best film, in addition to several international awards.
