Maria Larissa Pereira Paiva, known as Larittrix, is a citizen scientist, analog astronaut, and science communicator. A self-taught astronomer from Ceará, Brazil, since the age of 13, she has detected asteroids for NASA, co-founded the Astrolimpíada and the Pires Ferreira nas Estrelas project, and has impacted over 20,000 students through science outreach and lectures. She currently serves as a POP Ciência ambassador for Brazil’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and was featured on Forbes Under 30 in the Science & Education category.
