Paulo Junqueiro

Music Industry Executive

Born in Coimbra, Portugal, began his career as studio assistant in Lisbon. After a stint in São Paulo, where he worked as a sound engineer in studios and live shows, he was invited in 1986 to work at Nas Nuvens studio in Rio de Janeiro, where he started producing records. In 1994, he took on the role of A&R Director at Warner Music Brazil. Between 1998 and 2012, he held positions as Artistic and Marketing Director at EMI in both Brazil and Portugal. In 2012, became the GM of Sony Music Portugal. Today, he is the President of Sony Music Brazil. He has accumulated 44 gold records, 21 platinum, 11 multi-platinum, and won the Grammy Award for Best World Music Album in 1998 with G Gil´s Quanta Live
