História Preta

Thiago André is the creator, writer, and host of História Preta, a narrative podcast that explores the historical memory of Black communities. He is pursuing a degree in History at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and focuses his research and writing on Afro-Brazilian history. Thiago has served as a mentor for Spotify’s Sound Up Brasil program and as an instructor for Camp Serrapilheira: Podcasts, organized by the Serrapilheira Institute. With multiple seasons released, História Preta was featured on Apple Podcasts’ “Best of 2021” list and was twice recognized among Spotify’s “Best of the Year” podcasts.
