James Lima

James Lima, originally from São Paulo, is a historian and journalist. With a solid career in the music industry since the 90s, he started at Continental East West (WMG) before working at Eldorado, Distribuidora Independente Trama, and later founding Brazilmúsica! at Atração Recordings in the physical market. In the digital realm, he was a founding partner of ONErpm, country manager at Believe Digital, consultant at Ditto Music, consultant on the STRM Board and Smart Rights overseeing over 450 independent record labels during this period. He has been instrumental in promoting independent music production for almost three decades, always valuing and providing access to the diversity of Brazilian music.
