Natara Ney

Filmaker

Natara Ney is an acclaimed Brazilian filmmaker, screenwriter, and editor, recently honored as one of the most influential Black personalities in the Lusosphere by the Bantumen Powerlist 100. With a degree in Journalism (PUC-PE) and a specialization in Filmmaking from the Centro Afrocarioca de Cinema, she has built an extensive career with credits in over 20 feature films and several TV series. Her screenwriting portfolio includes award-winning documentaries such as Divine Divas and The Mystery of Samba. As a director, Ney made her debut with the feature films Cafi, Infinite Elza (a tribute to the legendary Elza Soares), and the critically acclaimed I Hope This Finds You Well.
